Michael is reuniting with his Lords of Dogtown castmate Nikki Reed in a big new film from Lionsgate. Here are the details from Mike Fleming at Deadline:
Quote:

Empire State, the drama that stars Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson, has filled out its cast with Twilight SagaЉs Nikki Reed, Michael Angarano, Emma Roberts, EntourageЉs Jerry Ferrara, Paul Ben-Victor, Shenae Grimes and Greg Vrotsos. Chris Diamantopoulos already had been added. The latter marks a convergence of Moeњs, with Ben-Victor playing Moe Howard in the ABC biopic of The Three Stooges, and Diamantopoulos just played Moe in the feature film. Empire State production kicks off Tuesday in New York City and New Orleans with Dito Montiel directing an Adam Mazer script about two friends in the њ80s who pull off a heist at an armored car company. Picњs financed by Emmett/Furla Films with Georgia Film Fund 14, and will be distributed by Lionsgate. David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman, George Furla and Randall Emmett are producing, while Norton Herrick, Stepan Martirosyan, Bill Chase and Cheetah Vision Films are exec producing.

Hi all ;D
As I was looking for upcoming films in theaters here in Germany, I came across "Spiderman". It hits theaters in a couple of weeks and I was remind that Mike was very close to get the role of Peter Parker a few years ago. I think we discussed it already, but I just wonder what you think about the whole situation now. Are you glad he didn't get the role or could you have imagined him to play the part???

very best regards from Germany

Hello all my friends, Maria I do remember this subject well, we're getting the revamp of Spiderman here too. I don't know yet if I will be going to see Andrew Garfield in this roll, I think it's too soon to do a revamp of Spiderman with a new actor. Has yet I don't think anyone can comment about the film, with it not being released and not seeing it. I'm glad in a way Michael didn't get the role of Spiderman, but on the other side, if he had and the film is a success this would have got him noticed.

I do wish Andrew well with the roll, not because he's british. He's got some big shoes to fill with this roll. Also it with be intersting to see how the critics take to him in this roll, but I do take critics comments with a pinch a salt.

These type of films in my opinion you don't take serious, it's all about you, if you like it, thats what its about, and worth paying to go and see.

My best film this year is John Carter. It was a flop for Disney, I don't know why, it was terrificly entertaining, had a great story from start to finish. I would have changed the name to The Princess of Mars, on which the book was based and it did have very bad marketing. Sorry for going off the subject but it was well worth a mention.

keep well everybody from the UK
