"Kyra Sedgwick and Nicky Katt have joined Michael Caine, Robert Duvall and Haley Joel Osment in the cast of the New Line Cinema comedy "Secondhand Lions."
"Lions," being directed by Tim McCanlies ("The Iron Giant") from his own script, is a coming-of-age story about a young boy forced to spend the summer with his two eccentric great-uncles, each of whom has a mysterious, dangerous past. Sedgwick will play Osment's mother, while Katt will play her boyfriend.
"Lions" is being produced by David Kirschner, Corey Sienega, Karen Loop and Digital Domain and is shooting in Texas. New Line production executives Mark Kaufman, Cale Boyter and Janis Chaskin are overseeing for the studio.
Sedgwick most recently starred in this year's Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner "Personal Velocity" and appears in the new romantic comedy "Just a Kiss." She also has been cast in a recurring role on the small screen in the CBS midseason drama "Queens Supreme."
Sedgwick is repped by WMA and Talent Entertainment Group, while Katt is repped by Endeavor and Catch 23."
