The second to last piece in the "Home of the Giants" puzzle has finally been placed. Until this point, news of the project had not yet been mentioned by either Variety or The Hollywood Reporter... that is, until now. Fresh to start off the first day of August, and oddly enough it was the first day of July that this new film project was first mentioned as a worthwhile news story, The Hollywood Reporter has finally given this potential new project the coverage that it so richly deserves. Like a waterdam that has finally busted, news of this new project is now flooding across the many different Internet entertainment news sites... and there was much happiness and dancing in the streets.
I mentioned this was the second to last piece of the 'Giants' puzzle, and some might be wondering who gets to place the last piece of the puzzle... well that honour is always reserved for someone that has earned and deserves to complete that picture... and no, I don't need to mention any names.
Just as July started off with so much potential and a really big smile... it looks like we get to enjoy that pleasure again for August... thanks again Haley, you are the best.

Osment back in game with indie 'Giants'
By Borys Kit
Haley Joel Osment is making a return to movies, taking a starring role in the indie coming-of-age feature "Home of the Giants."
Rusty Gorman is writing and directing, while William R. Greenblatt and Dan Schalk are producing.
Set in an Indiana town that lives for basketball, the story follows a teenager (Osment) who idolizes one of the town's basketball stars. The teen and his best pal are befriended by the player, who ends up being anything but the hero they thought he was.
Charles Grinds is executive producing the movie, which goes into production early next month in North Carolina. Sympics International, whose partners include Greenblatt, Grinds and Greg Harrison, is partly financing the picture.
Sympics' credits include the upcoming National Lampoon film "The Trouble With Frank," with Jon Bon Jovi, Estella Warren and Cary Elwes.
Osment rose to international fame through his Oscar-nominated performance in "The Sixth Sense." He followed that up with starring turns in "Pay It Forward" and Steven Spielberg's "A.I. Artificial Intelligence." His most recent role was in 2003's "Secondhand Lions," opposite Robert Duvall and Michael Caine.
Osment is repped by Meredith Fine at Coast to Coast Talent.

*edit to add*
Looks like this "story" about one little "indie" film has already made it to Malaysia, after a brief stop in the UK and Australia... Haley is the best.
