Not sure how well known this was, but for those that were not aware, when Secondhand Lions was in production in Austin, Texas... they spent a great deal of time at the Austin Studios.
From this article appearing at the Austin American-Statesman website, celebrating the two and a half years the Studios have been in production... the following little snippet was revealed about the SHL production...

"Secondhand Lions" writer-director Tim McCanlies filmed almost all of the film's interior scenes, with Michael Caine, Robert Duvall and  Haley Joel Osment, in Stage 1 last fall. The part-time Austinite wanted to film in the area. Having convenient studios "really helped me make the case (to the producers) to shoot in Austin.
"I don't think anyone would come to Austin just to use the stages there, but if you're shooting in Austin, it's a huge asset to have stages to go to," McCanlies says. "Secondhand Lions" will be released Sept. 26."

So what is this Stage 1 that the article refers.... Well, you can find a general layout and map of the Austin Studios here, and there is even a little 360degree virtual tour if you click on Stage 1 on the map.
Not much news to be sure... but I do find it interesting from the production point of view. Until now, I was not sure which Stage they had occupied. It is also interesting that from the article, Spy Kids 3D filmed at the Austin Studios... so perhaps Emily spent some time there as well.
